Improve quality education and equal access to primary schools for all children in Iringa, Tanzania

The project will improve retention rates through targeted efforts that will improve learning for all children.

This project will improve the quality of education for children in Iringa Rural, Tanzania, by directly addressing professional gaps in teachers’ capacity and motivation are the most important gaps in education material. Furthermore, the project will improve retention rates through targeted efforts that will improve learning for all children but especially lift those children most at risk of losing access to education and those today not passing national exams.

In order to secure children equal access to quality education the project will support their right to participation and protection. Child rights groups will be a cornerstone to raise awareness of children’ rights in schools as well as in the communities. Finally, protection measures will be promoted at family, school, and community level to protect children from abuse, violence and discrimination and secure their right to education.
