At the Hempel Foundation, we're excited to announce a new partnership with PEAS (Promoting Equality in African Schools) to improve education quality for over 45,000 primary school children in Zambia.

Through this collaboration, PEAS will expand its school improvement programme to 70 rural schools, equipping school leaders with the tools and support they need to create safer, more inclusive learning environments. The initiative will focus on enhancing student safety, improving attendance, and strengthening teaching quality—ensuring that more children receive the education they need to thrive.

Working in partnership with the Zambian Ministry of Education, this initiative is a step toward a future where every child has access to quality foundational learning.

At Hempel Foundation, we believe that foundational learning - ensuring children master basic reading, writing, and numeracy skills - is the key to unlocking lifelong opportunities. That’s why we are committed to supporting evidence-based education initiatives that create real, lasting impact.

This new partnership with PEAS aligns with our broader ambition to reach 1 million children with high-quality education by 2030, strengthening the foundation for their future learning and development.
