African Parks manages national parks across Africa through a public-private partnership model. By combining conservation with sustainable development, African Parks restores ecosystems, combats poaching, and ensures nature benefits both wildlife and communities.

Vahatra is a legally registered International Association of the island nation of Madagascar. The word “vahatra” means “grass-roots” in Malagasy, the national language of the island. The mission of Vahatra is to contribute to the amelioration of information on the biodiversity of Madagascar, particularly the plants and terrestrial fauna, with the intention of progressing aspects of conservation. And to advance a practical program in ecology and conservation biology for young Malagasy naturalists and graduate students in biology.

BirdLife International protects birds and biodiversity through a global partnership of 100+ organizations. By combining science, policy advocacy, and community action, BirdLife safeguards ecosystems and promotes sustainable land use.

The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) was founded in 2000 to address this challenge by empowering civil society in developing countries and transitional economies to protect the world’s biodiversity hotspots, which are some of Earth's most biologically rich yet threatened terrestrial ecosystems.

The Conservation Leadership Programme (CLP) invests in early-career conservationists worldwide. By providing training, funding, and mentorship, CLP strengthens conservation leadership and drives impactful biodiversity protection efforts.

They identify and partner with highly effective local conservation partners, many of whom have traditionally struggled to secure adequate funding due to their small size and remote locations. Fondation pour les Aires Protégées et la Biodiversité de Madagascar (FAPBM) secures long-term financing for biodiversity conservation in Madagascar. By supporting protected areas, promoting sustainable livelihoods, and restoring degraded ecosystems, FAPBM empowers local partners to preserve Madagascar’s unique natural heritage.

Konservasi Indonesia safeguards Indonesia’s rich biodiversity through conservation, sustainable development, and community-led initiatives. By strengthening marine and terrestrial ecosystems, KI promotes resilience while ensuring local communities benefit from nature-based solutions.

LEAF protects Indonesia’s Leuser Ecosystem, one of the world’s last intact rainforests. By funding conservation, strengthening governance, and supporting sustainable livelihoods, LEAF safeguards critical habitats for endangered species while promoting forest-friendly economies.

Maliasili strengthens local conservation organizations in Africa by providing strategic support, leadership development, and capacity-building. By empowering grassroots initiatives, Maliasili enhances conservation impact and long-term sustainability.

Mandai Nature is the conservation arm of Mandai Wildlife Group (MWG), established in 2020 by Temasek and MWG. Based in Singapore, they work towards a sustainable world where wildlife and people thrive together.They protect threatened species, restore ecosystems, and support local communities by: catalysing conservation through partnerships, grants, and expertise; building conservation and research capacity; convening stakeholders to drive collaborative conservation.

PAMS Foundation is a team of conservationists working on-the-ground to save Tanzania’s wildlife. Since their inception in 2006, PAMS has played an extremely critical role in turning around Tanzania’s elephant poaching crisis. Their mission is to protect wildlife and habitats though measures that benefit both nature and local communities.

Planet Indonesia is a non-profit organization that conserves at-risk ecosystems through community-level partnerships. Holistic rights-based approach employs local solutions and values, enhancing the potential of Indigenous and rural communities to restore and maintain the balance between humans and nature. The approach is collaborative and led by the community, creating the enabling conditions for the community to head sound natural resource management.

Founded by a group of renowned conservation scientists combining more than 35 years of conservation impact, Re:wild is a force multiplier that brings together Indigenous peoples, local communities, influential leaders, nongovernmental organizations, governments, companies, and the public to protect and rewild at the scale and speed we need.

The Southern Tanzania Elephant Program (STEP) is dedicated to safeguarding Tanzania’s biodiversity and critical ecosystems in Ruaha, Udzungwa and Selous. As a key player in preserving the wildlife and ecosystems of the Udzungwa Mountains, STEP collaborates with government partners, communities and other NGOs to address root causes of deforestation and biodiversity loss.
